This is a spacious holiday cottage with a stone circular staircase, a large living room with a cozy log-burning stove and a smaller sitting room.

Access to Elm How is by a single track unpaved gated road, about a mile long, and 1.5 miles from Patterdale.

Elm How lies adjacent to one of the main footpaths to Helvellyn and Fairfield and is an ideal base for walking. There are also low level walks from the door.

• There are 4 bedrooms upstairs - 2 double rooms and two twin rooms.
• There is a WC downstairs and separate utility with washer and tumble dryer.
• There is a CD player.
• Please note that although there is a TV and DVD there is no TV reception.
• There is a cot and a high-chair and extras can be provided if requested.
• Linen and towels are provided.
• Heating is by electric night storage heaters.
• Elm How has wood burning stove and firewood is provided.
• We regret - no pets.

Mobile phone reception is poor at Elm How, but improves slightly as you go up the valley. There is good reception in Patterdale.
